    Our architecturally designed campsite building offers everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Enjoy a large covered terrace to unwind, refreshing hot showers, and a fully equipped kitchen for preparing meals. The spacious dining area provides the perfect spot to gather and enjoy your food or simply relax indoors.

  • 4 Luxury Bell Tents

    We have 4 luxury glamping Bell Tents, each with a private terrace and stunning sea views. The 5 m Bell Tents sleep up to 4 guests, while the larger 6 m Bell Tents sleep up to 5. Electricity, a cool box, bed linen, and towels are provided to ensure a comfortable, relaxing stay.

  • 6 Contemporary Pods

    New for 2026 Our cosy pods are designed to give you comfort while staying connected to the stunning landscape around you. They can sleep up to 4 guests making them Ideal for couples, friends, or small families. Inside, you’ll find a private toilet and sink, along with heating, tea and coffee making facilities, and a mini fridge.

    An indoor space that can be used as a dining room, or with tables and chairs removed to create an open area for workshops and yoga retreats.

  • Private Sea Access

    Enjoy your own private sea access from the glamping site, with a pier just a short stroll away - perfect for high-tide jumping.

    A large all-weather covered terrace with a seating area and fire pit, with complimentary kiln-dried logs.

    Our fully equipped double kitchen, is complete with 2 ovens, 2 fridges, 2 sinks with hot water, 2 hobs, 2 microwaves, and all the cookware, utensils, and serving dishes you’ll need.

  • Showers & Toilets

    The communal building includes well-maintained toilets, hot showers, a washing machine and a small covered drying area.

  • Tableware

    All tableware and cookware are provided, including serving dishes, platters, and decorative vases for events.

  • BBQ Area

    The BBQ area features 2 x gas and 2 x charcoal BBQs, with complimentary fuel including kiln dried logs for the fire pit.

Choose from 6 Contemporary Pods and 4 Luxury Bell Tents, each with its own private terrace and sea views.

  • Pods (up to 3 guests)

    Lawrence, Scairt, Cloughland

    Each 25 sqm pod features a double bed and a single day bed. Inside, you’ll find a private toilet and sink, along with heating, tea and coffee making facilities and a mini fridge.

  • Pods (up to 4 guests)

    Lonehort, Greenane, Ballinakilla

    Each 25 sqm pod features a double bed and a day bed with a pull out children’s bed. Inside, you’ll find a private toilet and sink, along with heating, tea/coffee making facilities and a mini fridge.

  • 6m Bell Tents (up to 5 guests)

    Ardnakinna & Roancarrig

    Larger tents with a double and 2 single beds. A 3rd camp bed can be added. Sleeps up to 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 children. Electricity, cool box, bed linen and towels are provided.

  • 5m Bell Tents (up to 4 guests)

    Doonbeg & Rerrin

    5m bell tents with a double bed. 2 single camp beds can be added to accommodate 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. Electricity, cool box, bed linen and towels are provided.

The tents themselves are spacious and comfortable, the communal area was lovely [and] the facilities are really well thought out. The surrounding areas both on and off the Island are a great break, and we were also recommended some lovely hikes, things to see and places to eat on the island. With the distinct, easy charm of rural places, Bere Island is a quiet island paradise full of things to do.

 

  • Swimming

    There are plenty of popular swimming spots on the island but jumping off the pier by the glamping site at high tide is a firm favourite.

  • Kayaking

    In partnership with Bantry Bay Boats, we offer kayaking rental and organised tours around Lawrence Cove from the glamping site.

  • Hiking

    Choose from 5 main trails, from 30 minutes to 8 hours, that bring you through the views across Beara, the Slieve Miskish and the Caha mountains.

  • Cycling

    Offering various levels of difficulty for cyclists, choose from level routes for a relaxing cycle, or hilly climbs as part of the Beara Cycle Way.

  • Rock Pools

    Explore the underwater world of weird and wonderful sea creatures and barnacle-encrusted rocks in the rock pools around the island.

  • Historical Trails

    Learn about Bere Island’s rich military history at the Heritage Centre, and visit the remains of military fortifications across the island.

  • Beaches

    Visit the island’s two beaches Scairt and Cloughland. Scairt Beach is a hidden gem with its clear water and sandy shores.
